Краткий ответ:

One day, my friend Simon and I made the decision to climb Siula Grande. Everything went smoothly until we began our descent. Unfortunately, I broke my leg, and Simon had to continue helping me down, despite the danger and difficulty of the situation. At one point, I found myself hanging over the edge of a deep crevasse. Fear overtook me as my fingers, numb from frostbite, couldn’t grip the rope to pull myself up. We were too far apart to communicate, and I felt completely isolated. I was terrified and convinced I wouldn’t make it out alive.

Once, my friend Simon and I decided to conquer the mighty Siula Grande mountain, located in the Peruvian Andes. Both of us were experienced climbers, and we were ready to face the challenge of reaching the summit. We were confident in our abilities, and everything went according to plan until we started our descent. We had been climbing for hours, and despite the difficulties, we managed to reach the top. The view from the summit was breathtaking, and we felt a deep sense of accomplishment.

However, things took a turn for the worse when we began descending. We chose a seemingly easier route for the descent, thinking it would be quicker and less strenuous. But this decision proved to be a grave mistake. As I was making my way down, I lost my footing and slipped. In the fall, I fractured my leg in several places. The pain was excruciating, and I was unable to continue moving.

Simon, determined to help me, stayed by my side and tried to assist me in every way possible. We didn’t have any food or water, and we knew we needed to get down the mountain as quickly as possible to avoid further dangers. Simon tied a rope around me to lower me down, but the journey became increasingly difficult and dangerous. Eventually, I found myself hanging over the edge of a deep crevasse, unable to climb back up.

I was terrified. My fingers had become so frostbitten that I couldn’t grip the rope anymore. We were too far apart to communicate, and I couldn’t even speak to Simon. The cold was unbearable, and I felt like I was slipping away. I genuinely thought that I wouldn’t survive.

At that moment, Simon made the most agonizing decision of his life. Realizing the dire situation we were in, he knew that if he didn’t act fast, we both would die. He made the heartbreaking choice to cut the rope, knowing that it was the only way to save one of us. His decision was incredibly difficult, but it was the only chance for survival.

Miraculously, I survived the fall. I was badly injured, with no food or water, but somehow I was alive. My determination to survive and the will to live pushed me forward. Over the course of the next few days, I dragged myself down the mountain, inch by inch, until I reached safety.

I don’t blame Simon for what he did. He saved my life, and if he hadn’t made that difficult choice, we would both have perished. It was a life-changing experience, and it taught me the true meaning of survival, courage, and friendship. What we went through was unimaginable, but I am thankful to be alive to tell the story.
