The attacker appeared completely out of nowhere. At first glance, he seemed like a kind and polite man who offered me a lift home. I didn’t suspect anything and got into the car. However, not long after we set off, he suddenly pulled out a knife and began threatening me. He demanded that I hand over my wallet, which contained my credit card, seven gift vouchers, and some cash.

The moment he had the wallet, he pushed me out of the vehicle and sped off. Luckily, I managed to remember his license plate number and later identified him from a photograph at the police station. It turned out he was a well-known criminal in the area with a long record.

Soon after, the police caught him red-handed during another attempted robbery. He was taken to court and sentenced to two years in prison. On the bright side, the police were able to recover my wallet and return it to me.

It all happened so suddenly that I barely had time to react. I was standing outside the shopping centre, waiting for a bus, when a man approached me. He looked well-dressed and polite, and after a short conversation, he offered to give me a ride home. He seemed friendly enough, and since I was tired, I agreed and got into his car.

At first, everything felt normal. But after driving a short distance, his tone changed. He suddenly pulled out a knife from his jacket and started shouting at me, demanding that I give him my wallet. I was shocked and terrified, but I handed it over immediately. Inside were my credit card, some cash, and seven gift cards I had received for my birthday.

Without warning, he opened the car door, pushed me out onto the sidewalk, and sped off. I was left bruised and shaken, but fortunately, I had seen and memorised his license plate number. As soon as I got help, I contacted the police and gave them a full description of both the attacker and his car.

Later that day, I was called into the police station to look through photos of suspects. To my surprise, I recognised the man right away. He turned out to be a notorious criminal known for several similar attacks in our area.

Thanks to the information I provided, the police were able to locate and arrest him during another attempted robbery. He was caught red-handed and brought to court shortly after. The judge sentenced him to two years in prison for his crimes.

The best part? The police managed to recover my stolen wallet, and nothing was missing. It was a terrifying experience, but I’m grateful it ended the way it did—and I definitely learned to be more careful about who I trust.
