The Cyprus Incident

I’ll never forget our trip to Cyprus. My friend and I had been looking forward to it for months. We imagined long days on the beach, exploring the vibrant local culture, and enjoying the sun. But things didn’t exactly go according to plan.

On the very first day, we spent hours lounging in the sun, excited to finally be on vacation. However, neither of us remembered to put on enough sunscreen, and by the time we realized it, it was already too late. We both ended up with severe sunburns. The pain was unbearable, and we were forced to stay indoors for the rest of the trip. We tried to salvage the vacation, but with red, peeling skin and the constant discomfort, all we could do was sit in our hotel room, watching the days slip by. What was supposed to be a relaxing getaway turned into a frustrating experience, and we ended up spending the entire vacation stuck inside, hiding from the sun.

The China Nightmare

Then, there was our trip to China. It started off with so much excitement. We had planned to visit iconic places like the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, and taste authentic Chinese food.
